Embossing and debossing are the processes of creating a raised or recessed relief of images and designs in paper and other materials. An embossed pattern is raised against the background, while a debossed pattern is sunken into the surface of the material. We use these in order to give texture and uniqueness to your printing needs and on occasion can add a foil to augment the design.

Rotary die cutting is die cutting using a cylindrical die on a rotary press. A long sheet or web of material will be fed through the press into an area known as a “station” which holds a rotary tool that will cut out shapes, make perforations or creases, or even cut the sheet or web into smaller parts. We utilize this device to place shapes into project and sometimes pockets for folders!

The act of cutting words or pictures into metal/paper or substrate which results with a super defined old- world style of gravure. The characteristic of engraved stationery is a raised ink surface, with an indentation, or bruise, on the back.

Foil Stamping is a printing method in which foils are transferred to a surface “Mapper or Material” at high temperatures. In a hot stamping machine, a die is mounted/heated, with the product to be stamped placed beneath or fed through our automatic devices. The dry foil is impressed into the surface resulting in a beautiful effect. On occasion, we add and embossing or debossing to create an additional layer of effect.

Lamination is the technique/process of manufacturing a material in multiple layers, so that the composite material achieves improved strength, stability, sound insulation, appearance, or other properties from the use of the differing materials. These substrates can be a gloss, silk, soft-touch, pattern, matt in a multitude of thickness from 1.5 Mil -10 Mil encapsulating the item from damage.

The silk screening process. a printmaking technique in which a mesh cloth is stretched over a heavy wooden frame and the design, painted on the screen by tusche or affixed by stencil, is printed by having a squeegee force color through the pores of the material in areas not blocked out by a glue sizing. Our equipment allows for up to 8 colors or CMYK to be produced on a wide range of items.

Spot UV refers to the application of this UV Coating to a specific area (or areas) of a printed piece rather than coating the entire surface. Used primarily as a design technique, Spot UV is a creative way to add depth and contrast through varying levels of sheen and texture.

UV printing is a form of lithography which uses ultra-violet lights to dry/cure ink as it is produced. The UV lights cure any printed ink immediately, the dots of wet ink do not get a chance to spread or absorb into porous papers out resulting in much finer detail and robust colors.
